BLACK comedy comes to Doncaster's Little Theatre with Alan Ayckbourn's play Absent Friends.
The play, the last in the King St theatre’s summer season, tells the story of a tea party held to comfort Colin after the death of his fiancee – and the emotional complications which then develop.

Author Ayckbourn is one of the world’s most popular and prolific playwrights and also the artistic director of the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.

He has written 72 full length plays, many of which have gone on to London’s West End. At one point in 1975, he held the record for having the most professional productions being performed simultaneously in the West End.

Absent Friends begins at the Little Theatre on Saturday July 12 and continues from Monday July 14 until Saturday July 19.

Performances begin at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 concessions and are two for the price of one on the Monday.

The last day of the show is end of season gala night – the performance starts at 8pm, tickets cost £15 and include champagne and snacks.

To book call the box office on 01302 340422.
