Established by entrepreneur and former social worker Lee Bingham, Lee Bo got off to a flying start performing magic tricks at birthdays, weddings and other social events before the pandemic.
After receiving kickstart funding from UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE) – a business which invests in steel areas of the UK – Lee has been able to invest in the creation of his website, as well as organising marketing and promotional strategies.

Though Lee spent many years as a social worker, driving instructor and electrician, he has maintained a passion for the world of entertainment since he began his performances at the age of 17.
Like many, Lee was not immune to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Reflecting on this, he said: “I was just getting going when the pandemic hit, so it’s forced me to rethink how I manage the business and re-structure my whole act.
“I’ve been doing a lot more Zoom parties, which has surprisingly been a great tool for performing close-up magic. Fortunately, a lot of clients have looked to rearrange their bookings for later this year and next year.

As well as performing as ‘Lee Bo’ at birthday parties and weddings, Lee has attended several corporate events as a guest speaker, delivering talks on the psychology behind magic.
Alan Stanley at UKSE commented on Lee’s success, saying: “It’s good to see Lee expand his entertainment business and grow during what has been an exceptionally difficult time for everyone, including for entrepreneurs. I wish him well going forward.”
