Hide AdMango Planning & Development, who applied for planning permission on behalf of the franchisee, confirmed to The Star the plan is to open a Tim Hortons, which serves coffee, doughnuts and other fast food items.
The chain currently has 27 restaurants across the UK, including eight in England, with the option to order through Deliveroo and Just Eat at some outlets.
A Tim Hortons spokesperson was unable to confirm an opening date or how many jobs will be created. Planning permission is still required for a change of signage outside the restaurant.
The economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic forced Frankie & Benny’s at Drakehouse to close permanently.
