BRITISH champion Ryan Rhodes says he is happy to take up the challenge thrown out by Southern Area champion Anthony Small.
The British light-middleweight title holder from Sheffield was at London's York Hall at the weekend to support stablemate Kell Brook in his successful capture of the British welterweight title.
He also watched Small retain his Southern Area belt on the undercard and then, at ringside, the loudmouth Londoner challenged Rhodes to meet him.
The Sheffield boxer was more than happy to accept and, standing right next to Small, he said: "Small didn't box too well. He'll have to bring his best game against me."
Both Rhodes and Brook originally trained with Brendan Ingle and are now with Dave Coldwell.
