INTERNATIONALLY-renowned fashionista Rita Britton was in town to open Sheffield Hallam University's annual creative showcase for students at City Campus.
The Barnsley designer is founder of the famous store, Pollyanna, which opened over 40 years ago and has been hailed by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the leading shops in the world.

Rita toured the exhibits at the Sheffield show, Creative Spark, and said she'd been excited about what she saw.

She said: "It is fantastic that Sheffield Hallam brings together such a wide range of creative disciplines and - of course - will soon be launching a fashion degree."

Now in its third year, the exhibition showcased a myriad of outstanding creative work from final year students. This included metalwork and jewellery, fine art, architecture, film and media production, product design, furniture design, interior design, graphics design, engineering, photography and multimedia design.
