VULNERABLE adults are to get extra high-tech help to make them safer at home in Barnsley.
Innovative technology will build on a sensor system already operated by Central Call and the fire service to warn vulnerable people about fire.

Now the system is to be expanded to detect carbon monoxide and even prevent 'bogus caller' crime.

An initial 100 'Safe and Secure at Home' packages - comprising a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide monitor and a bogus caller button - will be installed in homes over the next year.
