Flower contest judging begins

HELLO flower!
Judging begins today for Barnsley entries in the Yorkshire In Bloom contest.

Judge Helen Ball has travelled from Hull to asses some of the town's entries which include The Limes golf course at Staincross.

Bank End Primary School in Worsbrough h
as entered the young people's award for the first time and will be showing Helen their new garden and wildflower area.

There are also new entries from Derby Street, Knowsley Street and Greenwood Terrace where residents have cleared away years worth of rubbish from their back alleys to create a haven for wildlife, grow vegetables and improve their terrace gardens.
