Some have guessed it could be a cluster of satellites known as Starlink making its way over.
However, meteors were predicted to glitter across the Northern Hemisphere’s night skies this week.
The meteor shower is expected to peak on Tuesday night but the spectacularly light shower could already be underway.
The Lyrid Meteor Shower occurs every April and it is due to start tonight.
