Gardeners defy weather
Horrendous weather has done nothing to help the horticultural community, but they worked hard to get produce up to scratch for the Sheffield Horticultural Show, centrepiece of the two-day Sheffield Fayre at Norfolk Heritage Park .
“We really have been seriously worried by the lack of entries and I realised the severity of the situation when I saw the lack of entries at Bakewell Show,” said Kim McMaster who looks after the event .

“Though entries are still way down on last year, I know scores of people that are keeping their produce in the ground until the very last minute.”
Admission is free to the fayre on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. 10.30am-5.30pm. It has a battle re-enactment, animal farm and kids’ entertainment.
