Drug factory is 'work of gang'
Officers smashed into a terraced house on Murray Road, Greystones, and found hundreds of plants growing in every room of the property.
They the house was empty but police said investigations were continuing to track down the criminals running the operation. Police believe the factory is the work of a Vietnamese gang and revealed there have been around 60 similar factories found in Sheffield in recent years, leading to the recovery of millions of pounds worth of the drug.

Hide AdChf Supt Jon House, District Commander for Sheffield, spoke out about the strength of cannabis now available in the city after commissioning research into cannabis use among young people.
The police chief said reclassifying the drug from grade C to the higher Grade B, which carries harsher penalties, is one of a number of measures, such as better education, which together could reduce its use.
"The reclassification of cannabis was a decision taken based on a different drug,” he said.
“It wasn’t taken bearing in mind the strength of new cannabis.

“The drug people are using these days is much stronger than ever before, which many people don’t realise, so it can have serious repercussions in terms of health.”
