Spireites boss plays it cool over unbeaten run
"We've got some capability, we've improved from last year, but we're not getting carried away with anything because there's only five games gone" he said.
"But we know that, at our best, we can more than match anybody in this division and if we can manage to do that 99.9 per cent of the time, then we'll be okay."

Hide AdAfter Friday's 3-1 victory over Bury, the fledgling league table showed Chesterfield joint top of the pile.
But the manager said: "I'm not bothered because it's such a long season and to get carried away now is just stupid, just folly, but we've showed in the five games that we're as strong as anybody and if we keep on performing that way, we'll have a successful season."
His main concern surrounds the sloppiness which led to Bury scoring with 15 minute to go.
"Any team that plays with three forwards is always going to cause you problems. We've done that ourselves this season, it can be difficult for a back four to deal with.

Hide Ad"But overall, I thought in the first half we were easily the better side and in the final 15 minutes we also showed extra quality. But we can't get sloppy and casual, thinking we're going to win because we're 1-0 up. We've got to make sure we're going to enforce it."
