Monk has come up against Rowett on five occasions as manager of four different clubs and is unbeaten in his last three against his fellow former Birmingham boss, drawing 0-0 against his Millwall side at Hillsborough last season.
The Owls have been given a huge boost in the form of the halving of their points deduction from 12 points to six this week, as well as a first home win in 252 days against Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Hide AdThe enter Saturday’s clash in positive mood but will have to be at their best against a Millwall side that has won four of their six away matches this season.
“I’ve come up against Gary quite a few times and it’s always a difficult game,” Monk said. “He’s an experienced manager and he sets his teams up very well, very organised, aggressive.
“In terms of a threat, they’ve got set pieces threats and are difficult to beat because of the organisation. It’ll be an interesting tactical battle.
“It’ll be attritional at times I’m sure, but if we can bring some of that quality that we showed on Tuesday, whatever way we set up. We can take that into this game with confidence and produce a similar type of level for ourselves.”
