What Darren Moore said about a potential Sheffield Wednesday move for 'excellent coach' Jimmy Shan

The highly thought of 42-year-old is a former colleague of Owls boss Darren Moore from their time together at West Brom and the timing of his departure from the National League side seemed conventient.
Moore has brought in Jamie Smith and Paul Williams as his back-up, both coaches he has worked with previously, while Neil Thompson will continue his work with both the first team and the academy.

Hide AdAsked about links to newly-available Shan, Moore told The Star it was not a move he intended to make: “Not at this moment,” he said. “We’re happy with the staff we’ve got here. The focus and the intention is clear, there’s been a lot of talk in there.
“I know Jimmy really well, I’ve worked with Jimmy previously. He’s an excellent coach, a very, very good coach.
“But at this moment in time we feel we’ve got more than enough adequate staff here to continue to work from now until the end of the season.”
Moore went on to confirm that as things stand the coaching staff will remain the same until the end of the season.

Hide AdNicky Weaver will continue to work with the goalkeepers, with Lee Bullen continuing his work with the club’s academy alongside the likes of Andy Holdsworth and Steve Haslam.
