It was another one to forget for Sheffield Wednesday as they were beaten 1-0 by a Preston side that were desperate to end their horrendous run of form at home. Josh Windass got an early red card and Tom Barkhuizen got on the end of a Keiren Westwood punch to get the only goal of the game.
The Owls remain in the Championship relegation zone, and there wasn’t much to write home about in Lancashire from Tony Pulis’ SWFC debut.
1. Keiren Westwood - 5
Didn’t have too much to do, really, but should have done better before Preston’s opener and showed a bit of rustiness with his distribution. Probably to be expected in his first game in almost exactly 12 months. Photo: via @SWFC

Did ok, was possibly lucky not to give a penalty away in the first half but was relatively solid when called upon. Photo: Steve Ellis
3. Tom Lees - 6
Won some headers and duels and didn’t really put a foot wrong on his return to the setup after missing a few games. Photo: Stu Forster
4. Joost van Aken - 6
Will have been disappointed not to have been tighter on his man for the first goal, but other than that had a pretty solid performance. Photo: Steve Ellis
