But hey, it’s matchday, so with apologies we’ll give it another nudge.
Despite the gut-punch result, the Owls laid on a highly encouraging performance at Watford on Saturday and will hope to collect their first win of the season at Home Park tonight.
So despite a second game in a few days - and with Rotherham United coming into view - we can’t see too much change. Here’s our stab in the dark at what the side could be this evening.
1. GK - Cam Dawson
The Owls stopper hasn’t been a busy figure in his return to the line-up. Devis Vasquez was ill last week and it will be interesting to see whether another few days puts him ahead in Rohl’s thinking. Photo: Contributed
2. RB - Pol Valentin
Laid on a strong performance at Watford and has shown an ability to get up the pitch. Given it’s a three-game week there would be no shock in seeing Liam Palmer come in here, mind.
3. CB - Dominic Iorfa
Excellent last time out. Has just about every attribute at his best and Wednesday will hope he can put a real run together.
4. CB - Bambo Diaby
Alongside Iorfa was among the Owls’ star men at Vicarage Road. There’s a definite argument for Di’Shon Bernard coming back in but Diaby deserves another shot.
