Hide AdIt was always expected that a number of Wednesday youngsters would make the trip to Exeter, though it is as yet unknown what sort of player availability the club will be dealing with against the Grecians.
Derby County have recently confirmed that they will be using their youngsters for their clash with Chorley FC, with Wayne Rooney not taking his place on the sideline, and Wednesday may find themselves in a similar situation with their players and coaching staff.
Wednesday will be strictly following all government guidelines over the coming days as they seek to make sure that they bring the outbreak to an end, with players training from home before a select group make the trip to the southwest on Friday.
The Owls face Exeter at 3pm on Saturday afternoon as they seek to book their spot in the next round of the tournament, and it’ll be a big opportunity for some of their youngsters to show what they’re capable of – just as it was in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.
