Talented Liam Shaw, 19, is enjoying something of a coming-of-age season with the Owls first team, having made his debut under Garry Monk last year.
Shaw, who has played both in midfield and in the heart of defence for the club he grew up supporting, is out of contract at the end of this campaign and has been offered a contract to extend his stay at Hillsborough.

Celtic have all but surrendered the Scottish title to bitter rivals Rangers and are reportedly reevaluating their post-Brexit transfer policy, moving their focus away from the complications of signing players from Europe and towards young UK talent, particularly in the Championship.
The Star revealed last month that Shaw was the subject of contract negotiations at S6 and it is understood that the youngster remains keen on extending his time with Wednesday. Alongside Barry Bannan, Adam Reach and Tom Lees, a deal is yet to be completed, though at least some of these are believed to be well on their way.
Asked about his intentions early last month, Shaw said: “It’s my boyhood club, it’s a dream to play for this club, it always is every time I go out there - it’d be perfect to stay.

“Hopefully it’ll be done soon.”
