But assistant manager, Jamie Smith wouldn’t delve into the matter when asked about it in today’s press conference ahead of the monster tie with Derby County, insisting that their focus was very much on on-the-field matters.
Reports in the national media had stated that the issue of unpaid wages had again reared its head at Hillsborough, however there has still been no official word from the club in terms of where things stand.

That’s all we’re focusing on… We’re just focusing on the game, and the lads have been spot on this week in terms of their preparation and how they’ve gone about their work.”
But there was some good news regarding manager, Darren Moore, though. With the stand-in boss revealing that Moore has been back in at Middlewood Road to see the players, however it’s still not known whether he’ll make the trip to Derby or not yet.
He told The Star, “He’s been about, he’s been in to see the lads at the training ground. It’s been good for him to see the players, and for them to see him as well.”
Smith also said, “We’re going to see how he is, it’s day by day. He has to see how he reacts at the end of every day, and hopefully – fingers crossed – he’ll be there tomorrow.”
