Over the past five Championship seasons, no team with over 51 points has been relegated from the division – with the number needed to stay up ranging from between 43 and 51 – but the possible points deduction looming over the Owls means that they have no idea how many points they actually have.
Wednesday face a Queens Park Rangers side that are comfortably midtable going into the final stretch, though they are not quite mathematically out of the running for the Play-Offs after Cardiff City failed to get a win over Fulham on Friday night.

It will be the 74th clash between the two sides since their first meeting back in 1948 (a 2-0 Wednesday win), and it’s this weekend’s visitors that lead the way with 31 wins to QPR’s 25. Although, the Owls have won just one of the last five games between the two, and haven’t beaten The Rs in a league encounter since April 2017.
Wednesday haven’t lost four in a row since late 2018 – something they’ll be hoping to avoid doing again this weekend – while QPR aren’t in the best of form themselves with just four wins in their last 15 games in all competitions.
Mark Warburton is sweating over the fitness of top scorer, Jordan Hugill, and defender, Lee Wallace, while Monk missed Kieran Lee, Connor Wickham and Tom Lees in the 3-1 defeat to Preston North End but could welcome the latter two back this weekend.
