Sheffield Wednesday linked with £1m Ross County striker, Ross Stewart - reports

The 24-year-old striker, one of an alarming amount of players called Ross at Ross County, has scored 41 goals in 125 games in his career so far, but especially impressed last season when he got 11 goals and three assists in the Scottish Premiership and League Cup.
Now, with Garry Monk hoping to bring in more options up top, the Daily Record states that the Owls are one of several clubs to have shown an interest in the St. Mirren man, who has been been utilised predominantly as a centre forward but also out wide.

Hide AdThe Record say that MK Dons have had a £300,000 offer rejected, while Shrewsbury Town and Fleetwood Town are alongside Sheffield Wednesday in terms of their interest – it is said that an offer of around £1,000,000 would be required in order to get a deal done.
County boss, Stuart Kettlewell, told the media recently, “There’s been another couple of bids for Ross, but they’ve still fallen seriously short.”
Wednesday are said to be close to wrapping up a deal for Cardiff City’s Callum Paterson, a Scottish international at Cardiff City, in the coming days, while Kenneth Zohore has also been linked with a switch to Hillsborough.
Stewart has two goals and one assist in nine games so far this season, and has one more year left on his contract in Dingwall.
