But there is no room for complacency when it comes to any of the players currently in the side, so says Owls caretaker boss Neil Thompson.
One player he will be keeping a close eye on is 22-year-old left-back Matt Penney, who has returned to the side in good effect and in terms of touches was third behind only central midfielders Barry Bannan and Adam Reach in their late 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

“He was okay at Coventry but I think his last two performances have been really good. I have known Matt a long time and he's a player that has got talent but you need to keep him on his toes.”
Thompson is uniquely placed to handle Penney having overseen his rise through the academy ranks at S6.
“I know him inside out and he knows how I work,” he said. “I think the last two performances have shown what he's capable of but he has got to strive for better. He has got to be as good as he can be.
