The Star has previously reported that the likes of Charles Hagan, Lewis Farmer and Declan Thompson were set to stay, and it has now been confirmed that – as expected - midfielder, Liam Waldock, is also among those that have had their one-year options exercised.
Among the retained players, though, comes a lengthy list of youngsters who have now come to the end of their road at Hillsborough with players such as Ben Hughes, Charlie Reaney, Isaac Rice and Corey Glaves being among those that are moving on. Glaves, 18, has already secured himself a trial spell with Brentford’s B team.

Relegation to League One could potentially open up a door for some of the younger players looking to make a mark at Hillsborough, and some of them may well get the chance to show Moore what they can do when preseason rolls around for them in a few weeks’ time.
