Shaw, who is set to join Scottish giants, Celtic on July 1st, decided to leave his boyhood club after being offered a long-term deal in Glasgow prior to the departure of Neil Lennon.
Now, as he bids farewell to Hillsborough and prepares for his first season away from home, he’s been given an opportunity to see plenty of his old teammates just a week into his spell in Scotland.

Hide AdWednesday will face Celtic – who were expected to announced Eddie Howe as their new manager until a statement yesterday – on July 7th at a training camp at a state-of-the-art facility in Wales, and Shaw is likely to get his first proper runout in Bhoys colours as he gets to know his new colleagues.
Shaw is one of three Owls players who have already finalised their teams for next season (Joost van Aken has joined Zulte-Waragem in Belgium and Jordan Rhodes re-signed for Huddersfield Town), but it remains to be seen when he’s actually been asked to report for his new club.
Celtic confirmed that their Welsh camp will get underway on July 5th, a couple of days before their meeting with Wednesday, and no doubt Shaw already has his relocation plans well underway ahead of his move further north.
Turning out against life-long friends such as Alex Hunt and Liam Waldock rather than alongside them will be a strange feeling for the 20-year-old, and his former teammates will hope to get one over on him on this occasion.
