The Owls have had their fair share of injuries problems in the current campaign, both under Garry Monk and Pulis, and now they have three more players to be worried about as they prepare for Boxing Day.
Pulis told the media today that all three are dealing with muscular injuries that could potentially see them miss the trip to Ewood Park, but insisted that if they do miss out then it’ll be up to him, not down to their lack of commitment to the cause.

“They’ll all want to play, I know that for a fact. It’s just up to me making a decision from the medical side. What we don’t want to do is play three players, lose them after 20 minutes and then have them out for four or five weeks.”
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether Wednesdayites will see Julian Börner or Massimo Luongo back in action before the turn of the year, with the Wednesday manager admitting that they have to be careful with their return.
Pulis explained, “Julian is an issue for us, he’s still struggling with that knock he had. We just have to rest him. I don’t think there’s any substantial damage, but we have to be careful with him. You have to be extra careful with head injuries.

Wednesday face Blackburn at 3pm on Saturday as they seek back to back Championship wins for the first time in over a year – in order to do that they'll have to perform much better than they did against Rovers last time out, when they were thumped 5-0 at home back in January.
