The 36-year-old, playing only his second match at any level since being bombed out by sacked Owls manager Garry Monk a year ago, picked up the injury while taking a goal kick just 10 minutes into their Championship clash at Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium.
He went off four minutes later and was replaced by previous goalkeeping incumbent Joe Wildsmith, holding his groin.

Hide AdWestwood, whose contract is up at the end of the summer, returned to the side after the appointment of Tony Pulis, who at his very first press conference as Owls boss described the former Sunderland man as one of the best keepers in the division.
Westwood was heard telling goalkeeping coach Nicky Weaver “It’s just gone” as he headed down the tunnel.
All three senior goalkeepers, including Cameron Dawson, warmed up on the pitch prior to the clash.
