Both Fletcher, 33, and Fox, 26, will see their Wednesday contracts expire at the end of the current season, and while they both returned to training at Middlewood Road last week, there’s been no indication of whether or not they will be staying at Hillsborough next season.
It is understood that the Owls are eager to tie down the duo as Garry Monk looks to plan for the 2020/21 season, but the uncertainty surrounding their situation in the Championship with regards to their case with the English Football League may not have helped matters.

Hide AdNow, with it having been provisionally agreed that the Championship will return on June 20th, TEAMtalk are reporting that seven different clubs are tracking the pair, with West Bromwich Albion said to be interested in landing both.
On top of West Brom, the website reported that Derby County and Stoke City are keen on Fletcher, while Burnley, Norwich City, AFC Bournemouth, Middlesbrough and Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are keeping a close eye on Fox.
Fans of the Owls will be worried at the latest round of rumours given the fact that Fletcher and Fox were among the club’s best performers this season prior to the break, and they’ll be hopeful that chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, can get them to sign on the dotted line in the not-so-distant future.
