Moore is currently on the mend as he recovers from pneumonia and blood clots brought about by his battle with COVID-19, and while no date has been given for his return to work, he says that he’s now feeling much better after being hit hard by the illness.
The Owls boss will not be in the dugout for this weekend’s visit of Nottingham Forest, and possibly not for the final game against Derby County, but the general mood on the outside is that he should take as much time as he needs to make a full recovery.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the Owls boss said, “I would like to say a big, big thank you for the unbelievable support I have received. I have been overwhelmed and touched by the love.
“To the paramedics, the doctors, all the medical staff, I cannot thank you enough, the care I have been given has been outstanding. I have basically been resting for the last week, continuing with the medication. The biggest thing is the rest to aid my recovery. I am in a whole new world and rest is not something I am used to but it’s what I need to be doing.
“I can tell you that all the messages sent to me personally, through the club and posted online have been such a big tonic. From other football clubs and managers, players and staff, supporters, the media – there has been no stone unturned. I’ve had so many nice messages from people outside of football as well.

Wednesday have two games left to save their season after a 2020/21 campaign to forget, and know that they need to get a result against Forest in Saturday’s early kickoff to stand any sort of chance of taking it to the final day away at Derby.
