Wednesday secured deadline day deals for Jack Marriott and Aden Flint ahead of Saturday’s win over Birmingham City, with both going on to make their debut in the 1-0 victory at St. Andrews.
Now, with the window having slammed shut, the Owls cannot make any more signings from other clubs – however they can still snap up any free agents that became available before 5pm on Friday afternoon.
Okera Simmonds is one of them.

At this point in time it remains to be seen whether the former Liverpool academy starlet will secure himself a deal at Hillsborough, but he’s expected to feature against Cardiff City, with a decision likely to be made in the days that follow.
The Owls had a busy transfer window in general, snapping up a total of nine players as they looked to bulk up for the 2020/21 campaign, and no doubt Monk will be keeping his eye now on the free agent market to see whether there is anyone else that has come available who he feels might be able to do a job at Hillsborough going forward.
