and live on Freeview channel 276
The 34-year-old defender has been without a club since leaving Huddersfield Town last year, and The Star reported on Monday that the Owls were considering making a move for him given the fact that he is currently available as a free agent and can sign for any club of his choice immediately.
Wednesday manager, Darren Moore was there to see Simpson play as he featured for an hour of the 3-1 defeat to Coventry City at Middlewood Road, however there had been no official word from the club with regards to what might lay ahead for him.

Hide AdSimpson had been part of Leicester’s U23s for some time after Brendan Rodgers gave him chance to come in to keep up his fitness levels, making it clear that the Foxes – with whom he won the Premier League – weren’t intending to bringing him back.
When asked about him after the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town, Moore told the media, “We looked at Danny, he’s come up on our radar but nothing has been decided yet…
“We are looking at ways and means for help to be administered to us in any way, but the only time we’ll do it - if at all - is because it’s got to boost the squad and add another dimension to the squad going forward.
He went on to say, “He looked ok, blew off a bit of the cobwebs, but to have somebody potentially with his availability, experience and knowhow, and in terms of where we’re at. We’ll look at it over the next few days, and see how it goes. That’s where it’s at - but to have his desire and experience, and to want to come in, is really good. We’ll see how that develops.
