Sheffield United: The things Chris Wilder must consider before taking a decision on Lys Mousset
The centre-forward has been receiving treatment for a hamstring injury and, although the extent of the problem is yet to be confirmed, he recently described himself as being “confident” of facing Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
However, Chris Wilder will have the final say on when Mousset makes his next Premier League appearance, not the player himself. And with his squad set to face Newcastle at Bramall Lane week before travelling to Norwich City, the United manager is expected to consult with medical staff before finalising his plans for this weekend’s match at Molineux.

Hide AdAfter contributing four goals and three assists since completing his £10m move from AFC Bournemouth, Mousset has emerged as one of Wilder’s most effective performers in the top-flight this term and is almost certain to start against Wolves if fit.
But with Steve Bruce’s side set to visit South Yorkshire only four days after United’s return from the Black Country - and less than 72 hours between that game and the trip to Norfolk - Oli McBurnie’s return to form has eased the pressure on United to rush Mousset back into action.
McBurnie was also on target when Wilder’s men drew with Manchester United last weekend, scoring a last minute equaliser following earlier efforts from John Fleck and Mousset, who hobbled off during the second-half.
All of United’s next three outings have been rearranged for television and Europa League purposes, with Wolves facing Braga tonight.
