Bottom of the table with only 15 games of the season remaining, United’s hopes of retaining top-flight status are hanging by a thread despite winning six of their last nine outings in all competitions.
Speaking earlier this month, manager Chris Wilder warned it would be foolish to try and “blow away” sides in the top-half of the table because of the attacking firepower at their disposal. Although Lowe agrees, he suggested coaching staff have now instructed the players under their command to begin throwing caution to the wind when the opportunity arises.

Lowe and Jayden Bogle, who also made the move from Pride Park last year, have impressed Wilder with the speed with which they have adapted to United’s 3-5-2 system after playing in a flat back four for County.
Bogle has taken full advantage of the freedom the formation affords him by scoring three goals in his last 11 appearances, and was disappointed not to add to that total during Wednesday’s FA Cup win over Bristol City.
“He’s getting into some great positions,” Lowe said. “It’s great to have that competition.”
