The England U21 international, who scored against the Blades for the Foxes in an EFL Cup tie back in 2017, has resigned himself to leaving Leicester this summer, with the Blades reported to be interested in his services alongside the likes of Southampton and Leeds.
Marseille have also reportedly been in contact with Gray, and teams abroad can tie him up on a pre-contract agreement this month ahead of signing him in the summer.

But Chris Wilder, the United manager, says he is working in the loan market in January.
Gray is predominantly a winger - which United predominantly don't play with - but Wilder has shown with Oli Burke that he is open to trying to mould players into different positions.
But Gray is hardly prolific, finding the net for Leicester just 10 times in 133 career league games.

Benfica, Marseille and Monaco have also been credited with an interest in Gray, but signing for Southampton may prove too good to turn down if Ralph Hasenhüttl's impressive side decide to firm up their interest.
