'Scores goals', 'A constant handful' - Sheffield United player ratings from 2-1 win over West Brom
and live on Freeview channel 276
Billy Sharp was the hero for the Blades as he scored the winner, after Jayden Bogle had cancelled out Matt Phillips’ opener.
Here’s how our man Danny Hall rated the Blades tonight.
Aaron Ramsdale 8
Made two saves in the build-up to Albion's opener, the second one superb, but could only watch as the ball fell kindly into Phillips' path for him to tap home and give the visitors the lead. Made a stunning stop to somehow deny Robinson from close range
George Baldock 6

Hide AdWas just getting going in this game when he pulled up after an innocuous-looking challenge with Townsend on the Blades right. But he knew straight away that his race was run, signalling to the bench instantly, and United will face an anxious wait to see how long he is out for with their squad already very stretched
Chris Basham 8
A tweet from his former Bramall Lane teammate Mark Duffy summed it up perfectly - How good is Bashy? he asked after another effortless challenge from the Blades man won back possession for his side. Basham was a constant handful for the Baggies going the other way, too, and helped set up United's first goal for Bogle by causing havoc in the box, and created the second with a cross from the byline.
John Egan 7
Did well against the awkward Baggies new boy Mbaye Diagne and marshalled United's defence well as they spent most of the game on the back foot - almost a return to the Championship days when he was left all alone while his fellow defenders rampaged forward.
Ethan Ampadu 7
Strode forward with the ball time and time again in the first half and forced Johnstone into a smart save as he looked to curl a shot past the Baggies goalkeeper. Looked composed and in control all game, apart from a nervy moment when he strode forward and lost the ball and was grateful for Fleck bringing down his Chesea teammate Gallagher
Jayden Bogle 8

Hide AdStarted brightly as United attacked down the left hand side, linking up nicely with Ampadu and Fleck. Had to switch to the right when Baldock went down, and dragged the Blades back on level terms with a superb finish in the second half for his third goal in United colours from wing-back
Ollie Norwood 6
Had a good chance to test Johnstone's handling in the slippy conditions when Bogle won a free-kick just outside the box, but Norwood smashed it high and wide. Could have been stronger in midfield in the build-up to Albion's opening goal, and was withdrawn at half-time as United changed shape
John Lundstram 7
Was influential as United began the second half like a house on fire, throwing his body in the way to try and block a clearance and then delivering a quality driven cross which almost saw Egan bundle home from close range.
John Fleck 7
Heavily involved as United pressed down the left and almost set up the opener with a great free-kick, which saw Townsend desperately clear from McGoldrick's toe. Took a booking for the team by fouling Gallagher as he raced through the United defence and was a composed figure in midfield
David McGoldrick 7

Billy Sharp 8
Scores goals. A typical Sharp finish from the United skipper, reacting quicker than Bartley when the ball rebounded into his path and making no mistake whatsoever with a superb finish. Ran his blood to water for the cause before that and, having been set to come off for Brewster just before his goal, was replaced by Burke with a few minutes remaining
Subs
McBurnie 7
Came on for Norwood at half-time and although will be lacking match sharpness at times, helped change the game in United’s favour
Oli Burke n/a
Replaced Sharp with four minutes or so of normal time remaining to give United an outlet ball with his pace
