Blades player ratings
after a potentially big three points in the context of United’s season... who was your star man?
'Comfortable evening', 'Almost lit up a drab first half' - Danny Hall's Reading ratings
Sheffield United picked up a much-needed three points away at Reading, on an evening on which the result was overshadowed by midfielder John Fleck being taken to hospital.
SJ on John Fleck’s situation
I cannot comment a lot of the things but John is conscious, he is talking with the doctors, he’s in the hospital and he’s in good hands. We hope everything will be OK.
I prefer not to comment so much, he is in good hands and we expect everything will be fine.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s post-match reaction
“We are where we are, we need to add the points.
“We were comfortable in possession today and had a lot of passes but didn’t create a lot of things, especially in the first half.
“We didn’t find enough space for running and we can finish some situations with crosses better.
“Reading made a good defensive job and we tried to be a bit more comfortable and create the chances. They tried to find some benefits with long balls with Andy Carroll, but we didn’t show weaknesses.
“We were fighting strong and put everything on the line not to concede the goal. We didn’t create enough but we finished with a second clean sheet in two games. That’s a positive for us.
“It’s three points we need and we need to try and be brave for the next game. One victory for us is not enough and we need to first of all clean our mind of everything that happened in the game and be ready for the next steps.”
FULL TIME
AND it’s a much-needed away win for the Blades but one that’s completely overshadowed by what happend to John Fleck, we wish him all the best of course for a speedy recovery as the Blades go into a huddle themselves before going over to take the acclaim from their fans

a cross from the left, but he can’t get it on target as Foderingham watches it sail over his crossbar
