Jokanović was today confirmed as Chris Wilder’s successor at Bramall Lane, signing a three-year deal after his time in Qatar comes to an end.
The 52-year-old becomes the Blades’ first ever permanent foreign manager, and has previous pedigree in the Championship having led both Fulham and Watford to the Premier League.

“It was clear from early in the conversations between the club, Slaviša and his representatives that there was a desire to make this deal happen, despite the complications of working in the pandemic, and we are delighted that the contract is signed to enable everyone to fully prepare for next season.”
The Serb has managed Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar since 2019, and has previously taken charge of Partizan in his home country.
Jokanović described himself as “honoured” to become the next Blades boss and admitted he was excited to work in England again.
