He might have seen it all in his 1000-plus games as a manager, but the FA Cup is still special.
“There’s lots of permutations,” he said.
“There could be a fantastic draw at home, a very dodgy one away, a non-league team, who knows? That’s the beauty of it.

“Whatever happens, it’s the magic of the cup, the romance of the cup. Whoever we get we’ll want to progress.”
The draw will be a big moment for the non-league clubs in the hat, all hoping to pull out a big League One club at home.
For Wilson, that’s one of the charms of the competition.
“I love it, I think it’s fantastic,” he said.
“You can see the non-league teams getting quite excited getting into the hat for the first round, they’ve had a lot of hard work already to get to where they are.
“It’s great for everybody.”
