Chesterfield: Wilson to thrash defence during mini-break
FA Cup commitments for scheduled opponents Colchester United mean the Spireites are without a game until they host Posh at the Proact on February 6.
And with Wilson critical of his side’s defending in defeats to Wigan Athletic and Millwall in their last two games, there is no doubt over what he intends to focus on in training during the mini-break.

“We have to focus on the negative parts of our game and the defensive work needs to be looked at even more.
“It’s not as though we don’t do it on a regular basis because we do.
“There’s a long way to go but this is disappointing because we should have taken at least a point out of the Millwall game.”

The Spireites skipper is out of contract in the summer and is the target of a number of clubs.
Wigan are the hot favourites for his signature but Championship side Preston North End have emerged as late contenders.
Wilson is likely to enter the transfer market before the window closes on Monday should Morsy indeed depart.
He will also been keen to ensure Chris Herd and Ollie Banks return from injury in time to face Peterborough.
Ian Evatt’s ankle injury is unlikely to have eased in time for the game.
