Virgin Trains offers weekend summer bookings up to six months in advance
The passenger-friendly move gives South Yorkshire customers more time to plan holidays, secure great deals and book tickets for their stay-cation.
This marks latest in a series of moves by Virgin Trains to tempt people away from air and car travel, including new Beam app streaming service (whose recent Be Mindful channel launch is illustrated here) allowing commuters to access hours of free films and TV series straight onto their devices.

Virgin Trains commercial director Suzanne Donnelly explained: “We want customers to choose to travel by train and enjoy the beauty of what the UK has to offer during the summer. That’s why we’re so pleased to be opening weekend advanced bookings.”
Network Rail’s confirmation of engineering works further in advance over the summer months allows Virgin Trains to confirm timetables up until August 20.
