Carvalhal, linked with the Swansea City earlier in the campaign after turning around Wednesday's fortunes, agreed a contract extension in mid-April but the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
But just 48 hours before the Owls' Championship Play-Off final meeting with Hull City at Wembley, Carvalhal has opted to clarify the situation.
