Fearless feature writer Julia Armstrong stepped inside the Globe of Death ahead of Cirque Berserk's visit to Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre, which is in town until Saturday.
Two leather-clad motorcyclists whizzed around Julia at high speed - passing just inches away from her as they roared around the specially built cage on the theatre's stage at more than 60mph.

Cirque Berserk, the UK's biggest theatre circus spectacular, combines traditional circus skills and jaw dropping bang up-to-date live entertainment with acts including acrobats, dancers, stuntmen, clowns and jugglers.
The show runs at the Lyceum until March 25.
