Yellow 'scan and go' bike found on Sheffield street TWO YEARS after scheme ends

The single cycle was found on Acres Hill bridge in Darnall on Thursday by Zaqari Usuf, a member of the Love Sheffield Facebook group.
Around 1,000 bikes were introduced to Sheffield in January 2018, with users asked to pay a small fee to ride them within certain areas of the city.

Hide AdBut the fleet was withdrawn just six months later after what the company called an ‘unprecedented’ level of vandalism.
Bikes were found dumped in rivers and suspended in trees, and some were even found as far away as Doncaster.
Others attempted to steal them by breaking the bike’s locking mechanism or painting them different colours.
Company Ofo - who also withdrew from Manchester around the same time - said they would instead ‘focus on key markets’.
