The judge added: “The offence is typical of the arrogance and lawlessness you display. You are contributing to the lowering of the quality of life for people in your area.” The court was told trouble occurred on February 8 when Neville and other youths started a fire in Thornton Street, Meadowbank, Rotherham, where Mr Camacho and his family lived.
Mr Camacho’s wife asked them to put the fire out but Neville refused and became abusive. She returned to the house to call the police and Mr Camacho went out to see what was going on.
Neville handed a pal a wooden stick and ordered him to assault Mrs Camacho, then distracted Mr Camacho by telling him his children were crying. When the family man turned his back on Neville to check, he was jumped and assaulted. His head was gashed open and the wound needed to be glued back together in hospital.

Handing him an extended sentence for five years, Judge Goldsack told him: “Everything I know about you confirms you are dangerous.
“Unless a sentence is passed for the protection of the public there is a high risk you will commit further offences.”
Neville pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
