“Sheffield is the UK’s mountain bike Mecca. We have so many awesome spaces, it really is a playground for people who love the outdoors.”
More than 250 riders – aged between 10 and 70 – will compete in nine categories, including overall male, overall female and junior champion.
The event is growing year on year in participation and in spectator numbers, with more than 4,000 people attending last years event.
Now nicknamed ‘the biggest little race’, this year’s event is taking place from 10.30am-4pm.
Spectators are encouraged to use the woodland car park with a small fee of £3, to prevent access issues.
