Speedway: Sheffield Tigers boss calls for ruthless win
Tigers have been pushed all the way in their last six tense home meetings. But with Scunthorpe bottom of the League, with just one away win to their name, Bates wants his team on top form as they push for an end of season play-off spot.
“We just want a solid team performance” said Bates. “Our top five, minus Josh (Bates) who had a tough night, got us out of the mess last week but we can’t keep relying on certain riders to do that. We need everybody chipping in with points and we want to see Arthur Sissis and Nathan Greaves contributing.

The likes of Josh Auty and Ryan Douglas can cause us problems and we need to be on it right from the start.
“No disrespect to Scunthorpe, but I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t win this one convincingly.”
Bates added: “After two nervy, but good, wins over Somerset and Edinburgh, I want a night where I can relax a lot more and enjoy the team picking up a big home win.”
Sheffield are at full strength with Josh Bates moving to No. 2 and Dimitri Berge switching to No. 3.
