Sheffield Wednesday: Carlos Carvalhal to battle Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez for Championship Manager of the Month Award
The Owls head coach led his side to four wins out of five over the month, with a defeat at Birmingham City the only blot on the record.
It was the manner in which Wednesday won the games that saw Carvalhal nominated, though, with the Portuguese's side coming from behind to take victories over Wigan Athletic (2-1), Bristol City (3-2) and Nottingham Forest (2-1). There was also a hard-fought 1-0 success away at an improving Blackburn Rovers.
