Sheffield man jailed for having 'loaded shotgun with ammunition sewn into curtains'
Darren Morton, aged 44, was jailed for three years after pleading guilty to possession of a shotgun without a certificate at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday.
South Yorkshire Police told how he was brought to justice after they executed a search warrant at his home in Angleton Gardens, Manor, in May and discovered the weapon, along with the stocked ammunition.

“Working alongside neighbourhood officers, we executed this warrant as part of our wider bid to disrupt and prevent armed and organised criminals from causing harm within the community.

“I am pleased that Morton accepted responsibility for his crime and is now in prison.
