Reading 0 Doncaster Rovers Belles 1: Belles break their duck in final game
Katrin Omarsdittor’s strike saw the already relegated Belles earn three points at Adams Park in a performance built on a solid defence.
The victory was boss Emma Coates’ first in charge of Doncaster and meant the club avoided the embarrassment of being relegated with no points to their name.

Belles’ defenders Rhiannon Roberts and Leandra Little found themselves doing a lot of work, a job they did well, while Sophie Barker also broke many moves up.
The visitors nearly took the lead just before the break when Emily Simpkins rifled a shot from 25 yards, forcing a fine save from ex-Belles goalkeeper Mary Earps.
Reading increased the pace after the break, but Doncaster soaked it up and Christie Murray shot wide when they did finally get a chance.

A free kick from the halfway line from Roberts was nodded into Omarsdittor’s path and the Icelandic international finished the chance off, sparking jubilant celebrations.
It was nearly made 2-0 moments later when Murray got a header on target only for Earps to make another brilliant save.
