The team got two e-bikes as part of Sheffield Council's cycle scheme.
Councillor Bob Johnson, cabinet member for transport, said: "This is a great initiative. We know that pavement parking causes problems for pedestrians and cyclists on a daily basis. People want to see action against it and we have been pushing for more powers from government to do this.

"It came about following The Star's coverage of our e-bike trials and the trade union convener asked if enforcement officers would be able to have access to them as well. The officers who have used them have volunteered and it's working really well so far."
Coun Douglas Johnson, leader of Sheffield Greens and City ward representative, said it was a small step towards reducing air pollution and hoped it would encourage more council staff to get on their bikes.
He said: "This is an excellent move. I asked officers about it a few months ago, so I'm really pleased to see it come into being...not only does it help them get round the city faster and more healthily, it is a reminder that the purpose of parking enforcement is road safety."
