'Party badly let down Jewish people' - Doncaster's Labour MPs

Both Doncaster North MP Ed Miliband and Rosie Winterton, member for Doncaster Central, said the report from the Equality & Human Rights Commission (EHRC) was ‘unequivocal in its findings’ and welcomed the party’s move to adopt the watchdog’s recommendations in full.
The human rights commission found Labour was responsible for ‘unlawful’ harassment and discrimination during Mr Corbyn's tenure in charge of the party.

Hide AdBut Mr Corbyn later said the scale of antisemitism within the party had been ‘dramatically overstated’ by opponents and was later suspended.
A party spokesman said he was being suspended ‘for a failure to retract’ his words.
The former leader responded by calling the move ‘political’ and vowed to ‘strongly contest’ it.

"Jeremy Corbyn was suspended following his comments about the report, and now a formal process will be followed. It would be inappropriate for us to comment whilst the process is ongoing."
