Police hunt firework throwing yobs terrorising Doncaster suburb

Residents living in Scawsby have endured a string of attacks in recent nights, with a group of youngsters attacking houses and cars with fireworks.
One resident, who declined to be named, for fear of reprisals, said: “There is a group of kids pranking each other and setting fireworks off and throwing them.

Hide Ad“They have gone into peoples gardens and towards cars and into the roads.
“We personally have had property damage as a result.
"There is also a video of them from someone's door bell which shows a youth lighting a rocket and leaving it in a garden before it hits the front of the house and explodes.
"His friends are filming him doing it.
"We need to raise awareness of the dangers of such acts. I dont know if anyone has been hurt as a result of this or if they have been caught.”
Police have been made aware of the group who have been targeting large parts of the Scawsby area over the past week.

On Wednesday, police in Wheatley were pelted with fireworks by a gang of youths in Wheatley.
Squad cars were hit with fireworks in the Beckett Road area but the culprits managed to flee the scene, with police launching an appeal to the public to help track them down.
